Amid COVID-19 Surge Huge Crowds seen in Cow Dung Fight in A.P

Amid the deadly second wave of COVID-19 pandemic is increasing day by day,huge crowds gathered at kairuppala village in kurnool district in A.P as part of ugadi celebrations.

Videos which surged from the event shows that huge crowds divided into groups throwing cakes which is made of cow dung at each other as part of tradition.it was clearly visible that no one wearing masks , no social distancing and any COVID-19 precautions weren’t taken.

Likewise in the same district ina village called kallur, croeds gathered for 3 day event that includes perambulating bulls at the local Chowdeshwari temple. the festival which is meant for agricultural prosperity.

There were giant wheels and fun rides present at a few metres away from the temple most of them were seen without mask. Actually the district where these whole celebration happened wasa reported as the second highest number of COVID-19 cases in A.P i.e, Kurnool reported 626 cases on 14 april.

Due to increase in numbers, C.M Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy had cancelled a pre-election public meeting in Chittoor district.
