Chinese team deems AP apt for investment
A Chinese delegation led by Shenyang Municipal People’s Congress chairman Pan Lingo expressed satisfaction over industrial policy of the state and observed that AP was very favourable for investments. The delegation met industries minister N Amaranatha Reddy at Secretariat, here on Wednesday and held discussions on potential investments in state. The senior officials of industries department and AP Economic Development Board (ADB) welcomed the delegation and made a power point presentation on the progress of the state and prospects for investments.
Officials, who claimed that the state was numero uno among the developing states in the country, explained to the delegates about the longest seashore, abundant resources, mineral wealth, skilled human resources and the government’s policy in providing infrastructure facilities for establishing industries in the state. The officials also explained about the progress of e-governance in the state. They also maintained that the investors can obtain 39 permissions of various kinds in 21 days for establishing industries. While detailing about prospects for investments in the fields of automobile, food processing, aerospace, petro-chemical, leather technology, textiles, energy, life science and others.
The officials have also presented a map over region-wise opportunities for establishment of various industries. They have made a detailed explanation over the ports and other basic amenities available in the state. Regarding Amaravati, the officials informed that capital region was most suitable for investments in IT, fashion, food processing, electronics, tourism, education and health sectors. The Chinese delegation also met Urban development officials headed by its principal secretary Karikala Varavan, who explained about the facilities available in the smart cities.
