Man Dies In Bank Queue, Family Demands Compensation

The family of a 49-year old Delhi-based Satish Sharma who died while standing in queues at a bank on Monday approached Supreme Court challenging the Modi’s move with a demand to furnish 50lakhs as compensation for death of their family head.


The petition, filed by bereaved family, sought compensation from Narendra Modi led central government to the widow and son of the deceased, reported national media. News has it that Satish Sharma, who’s a resident of Uttam Nagar in west Delhi, had been to Oriental Bank of Commerce branch with one of his friend to deposit money.

But, Satish, who was standing right in front of his friend, seemed pathetically feeble and fainted in all of a sudden moment. Immediately alerted with incident, the police team arrived there and took him to a nearby hospital, which was of no use as he already passed by then.
According to some reports, the effect of demonetization has took the lives of 10+ bankers, more than 50 common people and so, opposition parties in both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha also agitating over unplanned demonetization.
