Kurnool district police have solved the murder mystery of YSR Congress party leader and Pattikonda constituency incharge Cherukulapadu Narayana Reddy that has shrouded for the past few days. Narayana Reddy and his associate Boya Sambasivudu were brutally killed on Sunday ( May 21) after returning from a marriage. Rivals had attacked the duo and chased them and killed them using sickles.
The 12 accused in the case were arrested on Wednesday by a special police team constituted under Done zonal DSP. The accused were presented before DIG Ramana Kumar and SP Aake Ravi Krishna on the same day. The accused were also presented before media. It’s said that the accused had killed Narayana Reddy and Boya Sambasivudu fearing that they would kill them. The accused claimed that Narayana Reddy and Sambasivudu had threatened to kill them and hence they swung into action to kill them. Kurnool Police said 5 more names, that are not mentioned in the FIR, linked to the murder have come out and probing the matter.
