We’ll teach TDP a lesson in 2019 polls: Kapus
Kapu Reservation Porata Samithi Joint Action Committee on Monday said that they will undertake Kapu Satyagraha Deeksha on February 26 to pressurise the government to include Kapus into BC list. “As the State government has denied permissions to Kapu Satyagraha Pada Yatra from Ravulapalem to Antarvedi in January last week, our Kapu JAC leaders have now decided to conduct one day state wide Satyagraha Deeksha on February 26,” Kapu JAC state convener Vasireddy Yesu Dasu explained.
Kapu JAC leaders K Tataji, N Vishnu Murthy, A Rama Krishna, K Chakradhar and other leaders met at Ramanayya peta Vasireddy Yesudasu’s residence and discussed the future course of action for Kapu reservation movement. They called for media conference and announced Kapu Satyagraha Deeksha. “This protest programme will be conducted in all 25 Lok Sabha & 175 Assembly constituencies across 13 districts of the State on February 26. Our leader, Mudragada Padmanabham will participate in the ‘Satyagraha Deeksha’ at Kurnool as he will be visiting the district on that day,” Yesu Dasu said.
“Government is thinking that by using force and various repressive methods, they can put a full stop to our movement. Kapu Reservation movement wouldn’t be stopped until the government announces BC status for Kapus & other sub-castes. If this government doesn’t fulfil its election promises, Kapus will teach a lesson in the 2019 elections,” JAC leaders warned.
“Though Deputy CM N Chinarajappa is enjoying his position and power because of the caste equations, he is behaving like a Chief Minister’s parrot and giving statements against the Kapu community,” JAC leaders criticised. They stated that the TDP government was intentionally creating hurdles to the reservation movement by imposing Section 30 of Police Act and 144 section. “The government should know that these restrictions won’t stop us from achieving our goals,” the JAC leaders added.
