Meteorological Department Alerts Heavy Rainfall in Coastal Districts of Andhra Pradesh from July 21

Andhra Pradesh: The meteorological department had given the alert of heavy to very heavy rainfall in the north coastal districts & heavy rainfall in the south coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh for the next two days from tomorrow i.e, July 21. It also stated that, a low pressure area is likely to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal and Region around July 23.

Normal to heavy rainfall is already recorded Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam And parts of Srikakulam, Kadapa, chittoor, Krishna, Guntur, East Godavari and Anantapur

In the 24 hours ending Monday 8:30 A.M, the highest rainfall of 6 cm was reported in Vempalle,Kadapa, and followed by 4 cm in Puttu, Chittoor, Udaygiri in Nellore, Sambepalle in Kadapa, Alur in Kurnool, Peddapuram in East Godavari. Till now, Andhra Pradesh has received 24 per cent excess rainfall with seven districts reporting normal rainfall and three reporting surplus and three others large surplus. The state has already received 229.4 mm rainfall while the normal rainfall is 185 mm.
